Understanding Your Anxious Child

Five Online Sessions on Thursdays at 10:00 am

9/14, 9/21, 10/5, 10/12, 10/19

What to Expect

Led by two therapists with training and expertise in child and teen anxiety disorders, this psychoeducational group will teach parents and caregivers all about anxiety and various anxiety-based disorders such as OCD, Panic Disorder, and Social Anxiety Disorder. Participants will learn how to help their children face anxiety in a way that helps them master it, instead of exacerbating it.

Topics include education on coping skills, the role of familial accommodation in anxiety-related disorders, and how to disengage from reassurance seeking. This group will be a safe space to process what it's like to be the caregiver of an anxious child and an opportunity to learn tangible strategies on how to help your loved one stop the cycle of anxiety in its tracks.
